Support for Armed Forces Personnel

Supporting military families

Don't be on your own. Pick up the phone.

Supporting family, friends and carers within the armed forces and families of veterans, who are affected by a loved one's harmful use of drugs, alcohol or gambling

At DrugFAM we understand the difficulties of living with, or caring for someone who misuses drugs, alcohol or gambling to cope and how easily family, friends and carers can find themselves in a position of disempowerment and crisis. We also know how physically and emotionally exhausting this can be, especially when one feels isolated.

DrugFAM believes family members with loved ones who are serving or have served in our armed forces deserve to be supported in their own right. Our aim is to help families, friends and carers find ways of coping better with their situations, so they can start to regain control of their lives and look after their own well-being.

We have a national helpline that is available from 9am to 9pm 7 days a week, where you can talk to one of our friendly and supportive team. For those would who like further support, we can provide in-house 1 to 1 support by one of our specialist members of the team, who understands supporting those within the armed forces community.

Our services are confidential, free to access and we aren’t part of the military Chain of Command, your unit Welfare Service or the MoD.
